At Mother's House Retreats, we are committed to making our retreats & workshops accessible to individuals with disabilities. We strive to ensure that all visitors, regardless of ability, can access and enjoy our retreats & workshops. This statement outlines our efforts to enhance accessibility and provides contact information for further assistance.
Accessibility Statement for Mother's House Retreats
At Mother’s House Retreats, we are committed to creating a space of care, inclusion, and respect for every guest. We recognize that true healing spaces must also be accessible — physically, emotionally, and financially — and we aim to meet that responsibility with transparency and heart.
Physical Accessibility
While we welcome guests of all abilities, we want to note that all bedrooms at Mother’s House are located on upper floors and are only accessible via stairs. At this time, we unfortunately cannot offer ground-floor sleeping accommodations or elevator access.
Some communal spaces (such as the kitchen, living area, and garden) are on the ground floor and may be more accessible, but access still involves some thresholds or uneven ground.
We are actively exploring ways to expand accessibility in the future and are happy to support you in exploring whether this retreat is suitable for your needs.
Neurodivergent & Sensory-Sensitive Guests
We welcome neurodivergent individuals and those with sensory sensitivities. Our facilitators are trained in trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware approaches, and we can incorporate quiet time, structured rest, and flexibility into your retreat design.
Communication Needs
If you require assistance with understanding materials, making arrangements, or feeling safe to express your needs, we are here to support you with care and respect.
Financial Accessibility
Through the Mother’s House Foundation, we offer support to individuals who feel called to healing but face financial hardship. Reduced-cost or sponsored retreats may be available — please reach out to explore possibilities.
Ongoing Commitment
We know accessibility is not a box to tick, but a practice of listening, learning, and adjusting. If you have feedback or specific needs, we would love to hear from you.
