GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS YOGA WEEKEND/RETREAT 2020

• These General Terms and Conditions of Mother's House Retreats apply to the retreats and events organized by Mother's House Retreats and relate to ceremonies, Kambo, massages, workshops, transportation, and all other activities organized by Mother's House Retreats.

ARTICLE 1: DEFINITIONS

• Participant: The natural person who participates in one of the organized weekends or (day) retreats.

• Organizer: Mother's House Retreats (i.e., Tamara S. and members of Mother's House Retreats who provide support during the activities).

• Weekend/Retreat: The weekend or (day) retreat organized by the organizers, including yoga, meditation, preparatory classes, massages, massage workshops, walks, and all other activities during the weekend or (day) retreat.

• Retreat Costs: The price of the weekend or (day) retreat to be paid by the participant to the organizer, associated with registration and/or participation.

• Damage: All claims, compensations, and costs in any way related to or arising from the assignment.​

ARTICLE 2: THE AGREEMENT

• These terms apply to all activities during the weekend or (day) retreat. By registering for the retreat, the participant agrees to these terms and to paying the applicable fees. Participation in any activity, including transport to and from the location, is entirely at the participant's own risk. Participants must disclose any physical or mental health issues before the start. Participation is only allowed if health permits. Always consult a medical professional if in doubt.

ARTICLE 3: PARTICIPATION

• Registration is required and can be done via the website and a registration form in Practise Better. A spot is confirmed only after payment is received and a confirmation email is sent.

ARTICLE 4: PAYMENT

• Retreat costs must be paid within 7 days of registration and no later than 1 week before the start date to IBAN: NL81ABNA0407310347, The Medicine tribe, Spijkenisse. Late payment may result in cancellation without release from the payment obligation. Additional services (e.g., massages, transport) must be paid preferably in advance. If added on-site, payment must be made in cash or digital transfer immediately or within 7 days afterward.

ARTICLE 5: CANCELLATION BY PARTICIPANT

• Cancellations must be made in writing via email. Cancellation is confirmed upon acknowledgment from the organizer.

• Up to 60 days before: full refund

• 60 to 30 days before: 25% charged

• 30 to 14 days before: 50% charged

• Less than 14 days before: 100% charged No refunds for no-shows. Substitution is possible with prior agreement and submission of new participant details at least one day in advance. Participation in the program is voluntary. Opting out of activities does not entitle the participant to any refund or replacement. Participants are encouraged to arrange travel/cancellation insurance.

ARTICLE 6: CANCELLATION AND CHANGES BY ORGANIZER

• Mother's House Retreats reserves the right to cancel the retreat due to insufficient registrations, illness, or force majeure (e.g., pandemics, government restrictions). In such cases, all fees paid will be fully refunded. Mother's House Retreats may alter terms, fees, staff, schedule, location, or content at any time. Force majeure includes unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather. Alternative activities may be offered when necessary.

ARTICLE 7: LIABILITY AND RISK ACCEPTANCE

• Mother's House Retreats commits to carrying out the retreat with care and professionalism but is not liable for any damage, loss, or injury before, during, or after the retreat, including transportation. Participation is at the participant’s own risk. By joining, the participant expressly accepts these terms.

ARTICLE 8: PRIVACY

• Personal data is treated confidentially and only shared with staff and volunteers directly involved in the retreat.

ARTICLE 9: APPLICABILITY AND DISPUTES

• These terms apply to all agreements related to participation in a weekend or (day) retreat and related activities. Deviations are only binding if confirmed in writing. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the area of the organizer's location.
